Position Summary
Provides a variety of complex administrative and logistical support to Orlando Health providers to optimize workflows and efficiencies; facilitates utilization of corporate systems, advances process improvements and provides training as required.
SCHEDULE: Hybrid opportunity after initial training period to include up to 3 days in the office as determined based on staffing needs.
Essential Functions
Evaluates and develops action plans for improving provider access to services within Orlando Health.
Develops and provides operational training to providers on systems, protocols, and customer service.
Assists in the planning and implementation of projects impacting providers, functions as a facilitator and assists with process
improvement projects.
Plans, develops, coordinates and evaluates general and specific processes to maintain or increase the skill/knowledge of
stakeholders, both internal and external. Recommends system usage improvements to enhance departmental workflow and
efficiency.
Participates in system implementations, troubleshooting and problem resolution as a subject matter expert with various
systems.
Demonstrates project management, critical thinking and customer services skills.
Demonstrates ability to create excel spreadsheets.
Provides group and individual educational instructions.
Maintains a close working relationship with provider leadership, including but not limited to the Chief of Staff and medical staff
department chairpersons, to ensure consistent open lines of communication.
Responsible for keeping the medical staff services operations manager current on provider issues.
Works as a team player to facilitate efficient and effective assistance to members of the medical staff, including its leadership, and
allied health professionals.
Educates provider office staff on the credentialing process and maintains ongoing contact with these individuals throughout the
process. Assesses competency related to system training and operational processes of administrative and managerial staff.
Plans, develops, coordinates and evaluates provider engagement events.
Coordinates with applicable Orlando Health functional departments (Engineering, Security, Human Resources, Marketing, Managed
Care, Accounts payable, Finance, and others) to facilitate providers’ administrative needs and to facilitate problem resolution as
required.
Provides appropriate analysis and support to facilitate provider orientation, as necessary.

Demonstrates the ability to assess current workflows, work with subject matter experts to develop recommendations, and
implement said workflows. In addition, capable of ensuring that new processes continue after implementation, including
assessment of competencies of affected team members.
Participates in advisory groups as a subject matter expert.
Evaluates processes in medical staff and allied health professional departmental guidelines, policies and procedures, and clinical
privilege descriptions and recommends changes.
Develops agendas, minutes, and follow up for meetings of clinical departments, leadership committees, and other provider
committees or councils as assigned.
Orients and supports medical staff department chairperson and members of the AHP Committee.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, communications or related field.
Associate’s degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for Bachelor’s degree.
Licensure/Certification
None.
Experience
Two (2) years’ experience in a professional administrative support role in a business or operational setting.
NOTE: Medical Staff Office experience highly preferred from a hospital, to include responsibilities for credentialing/privileging for Medical Staff/Allied Health Professional staff, to include both initial appointment and reappointment. Management of meeting agendas, minutes, packets.
General knowledge of the FPPE/OPPE process for credentialing providers. Primary source verification responsibilities. Credentialing database experience – MDStaff knowledge highly preferred.
