We have earned Primary Stroke Center certification from The Joint Commission and Get with the Guidelines® Gold Plus Achievement in Stroke from the American Heart Association. Our bariatric program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) as a Comprehensive Center. The campus also includes the Women’s Medical Center, providing full-service care for women at all stages of life, including gynecologic surgery, maternity, and a labor and delivery unit with a Level III NICU. The center holds Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care from The Joint Commission.

 

At Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital, Endoscopy Techs assists physicians with endoscopic examinations.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
• Labels and sends specimens to proper department/location for analysis.
• Communicates appropriate information regarding patient status, technical equipment, or unit concerns to necessary healthcare
workers.
• Prepares procedure area and equipment for procedure.
• Maintains, cleans, and stores endoscopic equipment and supplies.
• Reprocesses Flexible Endoscopes according to policy.
• Transports and delivers items, equipment, and medications (excluding controlled substances and IV chemotherapy drugs)
throughout the facility.
• May have limited access to areas storing medications.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Training
High school graduate or equivalent.


Licensure/Certification
Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification


Experience
One (1) year clinical experience.
