Position Summary

Directly responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities within the net revenue department and implementing changes as necessary to improve services and simplify workflows. Develops goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a net revenue business partner to executive leadership.
  • Directs, analyzes, monitors, and reports net revenue and accounts receivable, bad debt and charity to properly value accounts receivable and proactively identify trends that may impact revenue realization.
  • Communicates with Finance Team (accounting and financial planning) on process changes.
  • Establishes and maintains intra/in departmental communication.
  • Maintains professional growth and development in areas of expertise.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization and within the healthcare industry.
  • Assure team provides internal and external customers with accurate and timely data to support strategic decision making and compliance.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining reporting to evaluate financial performance compared to key performance indicators.

  • Chairs or leads meetings.
  • Ability to manage large projects and oversee leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Hospital CFO.

 

 

Qualifications

Education/Training 

Preferred: Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.

Required:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field and five (5) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Master’s
degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).

Licensure/Certification
Prior attainment of CPA may substitute for the Master’s degree requirement

Experience
• Five (5) years of experience in finance management, public accounting management or consulting, to include at least five (5) years managing employees.
• Computer experience required with an emphasis on finance related IT systems management (General Ledger, Accounts Payable,
Fund Accounting, Budget, Purchasing card, Cost Accounting, etc.), spreadsheet and/or database programs.
