Brookwood Medical Center’s Women’s Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced, patient-centered OBGYN clinic. With 5 physicians seeing approximately 200 patients daily, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team that delivers compassionate care to women across all stages of life.

Baptist Health is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work Full time days as a nurse at Brookwood Medical Center - Women's Health Center.  The RN will work as needed between all 5 physicians with in the practice. The RN administers patient care at our clinic assisting our physicians as needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Provide ambulatory care nursing services including assessments, medication administration, treatments, and patient education.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Prioritize patient care using evidence-based practices in a dynamic clinical setting.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive environment for patients and families.
  • Participate in process improvement and contribute to the continuous advancement of care quality.

Other Related Functions

  • The professional nurse contributes to the knowledge and skills of others, and the continuous improvement of the quality of health care practice and organizational outcomes.
  • Participates and may lead unit level and/or organizational level committees of nursing practice and performance improvement.
  • Participates in department and organizational peer review, mentoring, and coaching regarding professional practice or role performance.
  • Practices efficient use of supplies and maintains a clean, safe, and organized unit.
  • Provides input into staff development needs, hospital and/or nursing committees, nursing research activities, and performance management activities of co-workers and self.
  • Assumes responsibility for one’s own professional development and continuing education.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.

Licensure/Certification

  • Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.


Experience

  • 1 year RN experience required unless approved by AVP level or above.
