Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed history and physical examinations, document inpatient H&P and discharge summaries.
  • Assist in patient care for radiation treatments and write appropriate orders.
  • Conduct daily rounds independently or with attending physicians.
  • Prescribe and dispense medications as authorized.
  • Assist in surgical procedures, including wound closure and removal of drains, sutures, and staples.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and perform advanced cardiac life support.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans.
  • Maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies and regulatory standards.

 

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current AlabamaPA license and BLS certification.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in areas with exposure to blood/body fluids and infectious diseases.
  • Must adapt to shift work and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
