The Security Systems Manager is responsible for administrative and operational functions of the Baptist Health access control system, security camera system, Security Department Communications Center, Badge Room, Parking Deck operations, shuttle service, and other functions as assigned.
Provides overall leadership, including policy development, goals, and administrative direction
Recruits, interviews, hires, schedules, and manages departmental staff
Oversees personnel functions such as coaching, evaluations, and disciplinary actions
Manages parking fee revenue and supports departmental budget and financial goals
Stays current on security technologies, systems, and crime prevention practices
Collaborates with local agencies and internal teams to enhance safety and operations
Ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
Promotes organizational culture, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence while maintaining integrity
Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree in management, computer science, criminal justice or a related field preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Valid Alabama driver’s license with no more than six (6) points, at least 21 years of age, and must be insurable under the Baptist Health insurance carrier’s requirements and standards.
Experience
Five (5) years’ experience in a related field. Three years supervision/management experience required.
