  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

The Senior Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing physician schedules, procedures, and patient appointments. This role requires frequent communication with physicians, patients, and clinical teams to ensure timely and accurate scheduling while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel single or multiple tests and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date departmental schedules
  • Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information
  • Communicate preparation instructions, arrival times, and locations to patients
  • Coordinate daily schedule changes and communicate updates to appropriate staff
  • Act as a liaison between clinical, business, and patient access teams
  • Ensure compliance with scheduling criteria and departmental workflow standards
  • Assist with training and mentoring team members as needed
  • Support a patient-first approach and deliver exceptional customer service

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Medical terminology and/or basic anatomy training required
  • Three (3) years of experience in clinical registration and scheduling
    • An Associate’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a clinical-related field may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with multi-line phone systems and computer applications
