  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant performs direct patient care under the direction of the physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an ambulatory setting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys being part of a supportive, patient-centered team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Prepare patients for visits and collect patient histories and vital signs
  • Administer routine treatments and approved medications
  • Document patient care, procedures, and education in the electronic medical record
  • Enter medication, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging orders as directed
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, and team members
  • Coordinate scheduling and act as a liaison for specialty testing or referrals
  • Support front office functions as needed, including phones and scheduling
  • Maintain compliance with policies, safety standards, and infection control practices

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one (1) year of applicable Medical Assistant experience in a patient care setting
  • 1–2 years of direct patient care experience preferred, but not required
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
  • Active Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NRCMA, or equivalent)
