Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
    Job Type: Full-Time
    Setting: Medical Office / Ambulatory Care

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front Office Assistant to support a busy, fast-paced medical practice. This role plays a key part in daily front office operations, providing excellent patient service while handling scheduling, administrative tasks, insurance coordination, and cash handling.

 

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, detail-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform computerized patient scheduling and front office administrative functions
  • Answer phones, take messages, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Complete charge entry and handle cash transactions accurately
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and insurance companies
  • Obtain referrals and authorizations as needed
  • Maintain medical records, lab reports, and office documentation
  • Support quality assurance activities and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and standards

 

Qualifications

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of medical office experience preferred
  • Typing speed of approximately 30 WPM or ability to demonstrate system proficiency
  • Knowledge of ICD and CPT codes preferred
  • Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
