SUPERVISOR, FACILITIES BROOKWOOD
Provides direct supervision, coordinates, and monitors various hospital or non-hospital building activities including reviewing daily activities of professional and skilled tradesmen, technicians, maintenance engineers and support personnel.
Essential Functions
• Provides technical assistance to engineers by diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving problems associated with the operation and
repair of equipment, utilities, and building systems.
• Plans, directs, controls, implements and supervises assigned corrective and preventive maintenance programs. Ensures lowest
controllable costs, optimum operation of equipment, satisfactory results from maintenance and repair or installation work
performed by assigned personnel.
• Monitors completion rates of all corrective and preventive maintenance tasks and ensures timely completion as scheduled and
reports any anomalies to engineering leadership
• Coordinates and manages all research for parts and supplies, selection of products and procurement needs for the department using
organizations purchase order system or procurement cards.
• Provides valuable insight to engineering leadership in determining the organizations capital planning for building systems and
equipment.
• Plans and coordinates all contracted maintenance activities with vendors.
• Performs as an educator by training engineering staff in operation and maintenance of hospital or non-hospital building systems and
equipment.
• Performs, supervises and documents inspections of hospital or non-hospital systems required by code and regulatory agencies.
• Assists the Assistant Facilities Manager and/or Facilities Manager in all daily activities.
• Communicates with the Assistant Facilities Manager and/or Facilities Manager concerning assignments and keeps engineering
management informed of activities, needs and concerns.
• Supports the engineering department through team commitment and staff involvement in engineering affairs.
• Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Education/Training
High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification
None.
Experience
Five (5) years’ experience in the maintenance and trades field.
