
Manager, Patient Transportation FT Days Brookwood
The Manager of Patient Transportation is responsible for operational, administrative functions and site-specific Patient Transportation Department.

Essential Functions
• Responsible for daily operations of the Patient Transportation department.
• Compiles and prepares monthly operation reports
• Monitors monthly budget reports for all areas of responsibility
• Maintains appropriate staffing levels by hiring and retaining qualified team members and providing them with training that improves
their performance and job knowledge.
• Creates a climate of innovation, empowerment, and trust for direct reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills with orientation toward team approach.
• Manages employee and human resource related issues with integrity, honesty, compassion, impartiality, and responsiveness.
• Develops departmental goals and objectives aligned with corporate and facility strategic goals.
• Develops, implements, and communicates departmental policies with regard to procedural standards, operational efficiencies, and
safety.
• Manages vendor support activities, maintenance agreements, and maintenance costs in areas of responsibility.
• Collaborates with other departments and directs resources to ensure transportation and logistical support to meet various demands
throughout the facility.
• Monitors customer satisfaction and facilitates resolution of customer issues, requests, questions, and concerns. Works with Risk
Management on issues concerning guest dissatisfaction, safety issues, and/or event reports.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with corporate and hospital department leadership as well as
vendors.
• Identifies, develops and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent judgement concerning areas being
reviewed
• Responsible for future growth and management of related issues for Transportation to include new services, management of
contracted services, interdepartmental concerns, and the evaluation of new technology and equipment.
• Responsible for departmental compliance with CMS, AHCA, and Joint Commission guidelines.
• Adheres to Baptist Health policies, procedures, value statements and commitment to excellence standards
• Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Baptist Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health policies and procedures.
Education/Training
• Associates degree preferred
Licensure/Certification
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• If required for area, must complete and be certified in National Child Passenger Safety Certification (CPS) by Safe Kids USA – obtained within 90 days of obtaining position if area requires
Experience
• Five (5) years of leadership experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree can substitute for up to 2 years of experience
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred
