About the Role
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide patient care under the direction of the physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include assisting with patient examinations and procedures, gathering patient information, administering approved treatments, processing calls, coordinating specialty referrals, entering laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders, and supporting overall clinic operations.

This practice does not have an on-site laboratory technician, so Medical Assistants play an essential role in both patient care and diagnostic support. The ideal candidate must be comfortable performing blood draws and assisting with in-house X-rays as part of their daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Room and prepare patients for examinations
- Assist providers during procedures and treatments
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Assist with in-house X-rays
- Document patient care and clinical information accurately
- Process incoming and outgoing patient communications
- Coordinate specialty referrals, testing, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with providers and office staff to ensure an outstanding patient experience
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent certification) with current certification and BLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- X-ray experience required
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Strong clinical skills and ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Team player with a positive, growth-oriented mindset
